I would like to be able to place the Users folder on a different partition to the Windows installation partition (i.e. Windows on C: and Users on D:) is this possible and how can you instruct setup to do this during setup?

Change location of Users folder
I don't recommend it since you would be affecting other accounts on the computer and how applications are installed and operate. I would preferrably change the target location of the Documents folder. -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta

Thanks but I mean move it at installation time (i.e. for all users before profiles or accounts are created), meaning default location for profiles is say D:\Users from the start not moving it later after Windows has been installed and used.

I don't know, I have never done this before. -- Andre Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta "Gav" wrote in message
